Website of SEAC Conference 2024 now online

The 31st SEAC Conference will take place from November 12 to 16, 2024 in Sicily. The venue is the Monastero dei Benedettini in Catania.

Romanian Society for Cultural Astronomy Meeting in Timisoara

The 6th International Conference of the Romanian Society for Astronomy in Culture will take place on September 7th, 2024 in Timisoara.

The conference normally attracts participants from Romania and the neighbouring countries, but anyone is welcome.

German Society of Archaeoastronomy Meeting in Bremen

The annual meeting of the German Society of Archaeoastronomy will take place in Bremen from June 26 to 30, 2024. It may be of interest to German speaking colleagues.

SEAC-EAA community

In March 2024 the election for the authorities of the SEAC-EAA community of Archaeology and Cultural Astronomy in the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA) for the period 2024-2027 took place. The following people, who are all SEAC members, were elected:

A. César González-García (Vice President)

Javier Mejuto (Secretary)

Hans Martz de la Vega (Treasurer)

The purpose is to strengthen the presence of cultural astronomy as a subject of study in the EAA.
